Your Genes Are Unique. Your Wellness Plan Can Be, Too.

Discover what your genetics may reveal about the way your body processes nutrients, responds to stress, supports detoxification, and more.

MaxGen Labs genetic testing gives you personalized insight into your unique genetic variations-helping you move beyond a one-size-fits-all approach to wellness.

What is MaxGen Labs genetic testing?

MaxGen Labs provides at-home genetic testing designed to give you insight into how your unique genetic variations may influence different areas of health and wellness.

Depending on the panel, testing can provide information related to methylation, detoxification, nutrients, oxidative stress, neurotransmitters, hormones, food, metabolism, fitness, sleep, and more.

What can I learn from my genetic test?

Your results can help identify genetic tendencies that may influence how your body processes and responds to things such as:

  • Vitamins and nutrients
  • Methylation and folate
  • Detoxification
  • Oxidative stress
  • Stress response
  • Neurotransmitters
  • Hormone metabolism
  • Food and dietary tendencies
  • Metabolism
  • Energy
  • Sleep
  • Fitness and exercise
  • Inflammation and antioxidant pathways

The exact information you receive depends on the panel selected.

Is this a blood test?

No! MaxGen Labs’ genetic panels use a simple cheek swab.

You collect your sample from the inside of your cheek at home and send it to the laboratory for processing. No blood draw is required.

How does the testing process work?

It’s simple:1. Get your test kit
Your kit is sent to you with everything you need. 2. Collect your sample
Use the provided cheek swab to collect your DNA. 3. Mail your sample back
Return your sample to the lab using the provided instructions. 4. Receive your report
Once your sample has been processed, you’ll receive access to your genetic report.

How long does it take to get my results?

MaxGen Labs currently states that reports are generally available within approximately 5-7 days after the lab receives your sample, although processing can sometimes take longer.

Does this test tell me what diseases I will get?

No.

MaxGen Labs does not test for disease risk in the way that diagnostic or disease-risk genetic testing does. The reports are intended to provide information about genetic tendencies related to wellness and biological functions.

Your genetics are only one piece of the picture. Lifestyle, environment, nutrition, sleep, stress, and other factors also play important roles in health.

Can genetic testing tell me what supplements I should take?

Your report can provide nutritional and lifestyle insights and recommendations based on the genetic variations included in your panel.

However, your results should be considered alongside your individual health history, diet, lifestyle, and other factors. Any changes to supplementation should be discussed with your healthcare provider.

Is the test safe?

The genetic collection process is non-invasive and uses a cheek swab rather than a blood draw. MaxGen Labs states that its genetic testing is performed through CLIA-certified laboratories.
